About LBS 2020 Electric

LBS 2020 Electric is a small business built on professional electrical craftsmanship. Owner Thomas Leibold spent about 20 years as an IBEW Local 3 electrician, building his reputation on some of New York City’s most notable and largest projects — experience that continues to shape how we plan, install, and complete every assignment.

At the peak of that Local 3 career — including major work on the addition to the roughly one-million-square-foot New York State Jacob Javits Convention Center — Thomas transitioned to operating as an IBEW Local 363 contractor. In 2020 he founded LBS 2020 Electric in the Hudson Valley, applying Building Information Modeling (BIM), prefabrication, and engineering controls from that high-profile project experience to the company’s methods — supporting precise coordination and efficient delivery in the field.

Today, LBS 2020 Electric (LBS 2020, LLC) provides licensed and insured electrical services for commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal clients throughout Orange, Dutchess, Putnam, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties. We acknowledge our IBEW and NECA affiliation, maintain a clear job-site safety culture, and perform work in accordance with New York State requirements, OSHA practices, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). We are a NYS Make Ready Program approved EV contractor for commercial and institutional charging installations. Clear communication, code-compliant workmanship, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee define how we operate — we're the Current Specialist.
